Script execution via unsanitized WOPI query parameters
Published Jun 12, 2025 · Updated Jun 18, 2025
Reflected XSS in ONLYOFFICE Docs 8.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a user's browser via WOPI requests. The wopiClient.getEditorHtml handler passes raw req.query values into editor-wopi.ejs, where JSON.stringify output is embedded in a script block without safe escaping. Exploitation requires a victim's browser to submit an unauthenticated crafted POST, enabling session hijacking, phishing, or interface manipulation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
