Admin-level code execution via case-sensitive PHAR filtering
Published Mar 2, 2026 · Updated Mar 2, 2026
Deserialization in Chamilo LMS before 1.11.30 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through crafted PHAR paths. The vChamilo import handler performs lowercase-only phar:// checks on submitted paths before PHP filesystem functions trigger PHAR metadata deserialization. Exploitation requires high-privilege access and the non-default vChamilo plugin; resulting object injection enables file operations or code execution in the server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
