Unauthenticated code execution via executable file upload
Published May 28, 2025 · Updated May 28, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester Client Database Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute server-side PHP code. The user_order_customer_update.php endpoint accepts uploaded_file_cancelled as a PHP file and stores it under a web-accessible files path without validating its type or extension. No login or authorization is required, and requesting the uploaded script executes attacker-supplied code in the web server context.
