Service interruption via specific PIM packet sequence

Improper condition handling in Junos OS flowd allows remote attackers to crash and restart the daemon with a sequence of PIM packets. On affected SRX appliances, flowd fails to handle the exceptional condition triggered by the packet sequence and terminates instead of rejecting it safely. Network reachability to the PIM service is sufficient; exploitation interrupts traffic during the restart without reported data disclosure or modification.
