Routing daemon restart via misordered BGP attribute bytes

Incorrect byte ordering in Juniper Networks Junos OS on SRX300 Series allows remote attackers to restart rpd with a crafted BGP update. rpd misinterprets byte order while processing a specific valid optional transitive domain-path-id attribute, then crashes and restarts. Exposure requires an established IPv4 or IPv6 eBGP or iBGP session with domain-path-id receive processing enabled, although listed older releases accept the attribute by default.
