CVE-2025-52955

Routing-service denial via jflow buffer miscalculation

Published Jul 11, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025

Incorrect buffer-size calculation in Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows attackers to crash rpd. rpd miscalculates the buffer size for specific updates sent to jflow/sflow during repeated interface flaps, corrupting memory and forcing a restart. The flaw is reachable only when jflow flow monitoring is configured, and continued updates sustain the routing-service interruption.
