Improper exception handling in Juniper Networks Junos OS allows remote attackers to crash and restart the FPC and system via network traffic. The Junos kernel races while cloning a BPF instance, causing the new interface to leak an internal structure and trigger a system crash. The issue is more likely with packet capture enabled, and Juniper reports that the required traffic content and timing are rare and indeterminate.
