Authenticated code execution via unchecked file rename
Published Jun 23, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025
Arbitrary code execution in InnoShop 0.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through the admin File Manager. The rename function accepts an intercepted extension change without server-side validation, turning an uploaded image containing PHP into a web-accessible PHP file. Administrative access is required; requesting the renamed file executes its embedded code with the web server's privileges.
