Serial-number PIN disclosure via unlimited verification attempts
Published Jun 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 28, 2025
Improper attempt limiting in Yealink RPS before 2025-06-04 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate a device's serial-number PIN. The serial-number verification flow accepts repeated guesses without rate limiting or brute-force protection, exposing the final five digits used as a second authentication factor. Access requires high privileges, and the bounded consequence is disclosure of that device-specific PIN.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
