Arbitrary file writes via incomplete character blocklist
Published Sep 24, 2025 · Updated Sep 24, 2025
Improper input validation in TOTOLINK X6000R firmware through V9.4.0cu.1360_B20241207 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files. The setWizardCfg handler behind /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi applies an incomplete character blocklist, allowing unauthenticated requests to bypass its input check and reach file-write behavior. Access to the router web interface is sufficient; resulting writes can corrupt system files, persistently interrupt service, or alter boot scripts for persistent code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
