CVE-2025-52900Public exploit

Local file disclosure via permissive creation modes

Published Jun 26, 2025 · Updated Jun 26, 2025

Incorrect default permissions in File Browser before 2.33.7 allow local users to read managed files and the authentication database. File creation uses permissive modes, while the Bolt database was opened without a restrictive mode option, leaving other-user read bits under a standard 022 umask. Exploitation requires a local account or co-resident process on an unhardened Linux host and exposes file contents and stored password hashes.
