Stored XSS via unescaped progress-widget titles
Published May 31, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Visualmodo Borderless 1.7.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through progress-widget titles. The Progress Bar, Circular Progress Bar, and Semicircular Progress Bar widgets render the title setting without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; a stored payload executes in browsers that open an affected page and can act in the viewing user’s session.
