CVE-2025-52893Network attack vector

Sensitive-data disclosure via logged conversion errors

Published Jun 25, 2025 · Updated Jun 25, 2025

Information disclosure in OpenBao before 2.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to place sensitive request data in server and audit logs. The SDK framework passes mapstructure type-conversion errors into log messages whose formatter includes the rejected input value. High privileges and user interaction are required, and exposure is limited to values supplied in malformed requests and later accessible in logs.
