Authorization bypass in Cognex In-Sight camera firmware and Explorer 5.x through 6.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to alter settings. The telnet service on TCP port 23 accepts SetSystemConfig changes, including network properties, from accounts limited to protected privileges instead of requiring Full Access. Valid credentials with protected privileges are required, and unauthorized network changes can disrupt device communications and dependent inspection operations.
