Stored XSS via missing CSRF protection
Published Jun 20, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in r-win WP-DownloadCounter 1.01 and earlier allows remote attackers to plant stored XSS via a crafted request. The affected administrative function omits nonce validation and accepts a forged request that persists attacker-controlled script content. Public sources do not name the function or parameter; exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link, after which the script runs in affected browser sessions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
