Unauthenticated SQL execution via filename path injection
Published Jan 12, 2026 · Updated Jan 12, 2026
SQL injection in Advantech IoTSuite and IoT Edge products allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL through an exposed service. The /displays/{filename}.json route concatenates the filename path value directly into a PostgreSQL query, permitting stacked statements such as pg_sleep(). No authentication or user interaction is required; Internet exposure enables database reading, modification, and service interruption.
