File access and modification via shared storage
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Improper access control in shared storage in HCL AION 2.0 allows local users to read or modify files outside their intended scope. Product components use shared storage without sufficient access separation, allowing one process to reach files assigned to another component. Exploitation requires high privileges, user interaction, and a difficult local execution path; affected files can be read or changed, disrupting dependent services.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
