Service interruption via unverified server certificates
Published Dec 26, 2025 · Updated Dec 26, 2025
Improper certificate validation in Hanwha Vision QNV-C8012 before 2.22.05 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to interrupt services. The camera's SMTP and Handover clients establish outbound TLS connections without verifying the server certificate. Exploitation requires impersonation of the configured server during a connection, and the documented consequence is limited to camera-service availability.
