CVE-2025-52576Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account enumeration and brute-force bypass via login handling

Published Jun 25, 2025 · Updated Jun 25, 2025

Username enumeration in Kanboard before 1.2.46 allows remote attackers to identify valid accounts through login-response differences. AuthController records failures and shows CAPTCHA or account-lock behavior only when the submitted username exists, while Request::getIpAddress trusts client-supplied forwarding headers. Unauthenticated access to the login page permits account discovery and spoofed source addresses that defeat CAPTCHA and IP-based brute-force controls.
