Directory enumeration via unescaped LDAP username filter
Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 21, 2025
Blind LDAP injection in EspoCRM 9.1.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to enumerate directory users through the login form. The findLdapUserDnByUsername function inserts the username directly into an LDAP filter, so wildcard and metacharacter input changes the query and returns the first matching DN. LDAP authentication must be enabled; directory configuration determines whether the flaw also exposes directory information or interrupts LDAP service.
