Remote code execution via dangling web authorization

Published Jun 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 8, 2025

Improper authentication in Hikka 1.7.0-wip and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through an exposed web interface. With no authenticated session, the interface accepts an attacker's Telegram authorization; with an existing session, an ambiguous helper-bot approval grants web operations against the owner's account. The first path requires a reachable web port and an attacker-controlled Telegram account, while the second requires owner approval and exposes both the host and Telegram account.
