User redirection via unvalidated unlock returnUrl
Published May 28, 2025 · Updated May 28, 2025
Open redirection in Mautic releases before 4.4.16, 5.2.6, or 6.0.2 allows remote attackers to redirect users through crafted links. The /s/action/unlock/user.user/0 endpoint uses the unvalidated returnUrl parameter as its post-action redirect target, permitting an arbitrary external URL. Exploitation requires a legitimate user to follow the crafted link; the redirect can send that user to an attacker-controlled phishing or exploit site.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
