Unauthenticated service crashes via unvalidated MGW command
Published Sep 2, 2025 · Updated Sep 2, 2025
Improper input validation in the MGW service of Copeland E3 Supervisory Control before 2.31F01 allows remote attackers to crash application services. An MGW API call processes attacker-controlled command input without validating it, causing the service to terminate repeatedly. The call is reachable over the network without authentication or user interaction, and repeated requests can keep the controller's application services unavailable.
