CVE-2025-52534Network attack vector

Guest-to-host memory writes via improper bounds check

Published Feb 10, 2026 · Updated Feb 10, 2026

Improper bounds checking in AMD EPYC 9005 Series processor microcode allows guest OS users to write host memory and compromise integrity. The microcode accepts a guest-controlled quantity without enforcing its valid bounds, allowing the resulting operation to target memory owned by the host. Exploitation requires low-privileged access inside a guest, and the reported consequence is unauthorized host-memory modification rather than disclosure or interruption.
