CVE-2025-52485Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unsanitized activity feed attachments

Published Jun 21, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025

Stored XSS in the Activity Feed Attachments endpoint in DNN Platform 6.0.0 through 10.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The endpoint stores attacker-controlled attachment content without neutralizing executable markup, and the activity feed later renders that content in visitors’ browsers. A low-privileged account can plant the payload, but script execution requires another user to view the affected feed and exposes that viewer’s browser context.
