CVE-2025-52459Network attack vector

Database credential disclosure via unsanitized command arguments

Published Jul 10, 2025 · Updated Jul 11, 2025

Argument injection in Advantech iView before 5.7.05 build 7057 allows remote authenticated users to disclose sensitive database credentials. NetworkServlet.backupDatabase() passes attacker-controlled parameters directly into a command without sanitizing argument delimiters, allowing arbitrary options to alter the backup operation. User-level access to the network interface is required, and the reported consequence is database-credential disclosure rather than code execution.
