Authenticated path traversal via unrestricted duplicate-data-source pathname
Published Jul 25, 2025 · Updated Jul 25, 2025
Absolute path traversal in Salesforce Tableau Server before 2025.1.3, 2024.2.12, or 2023.3.19 allows remote authenticated users to escape directories. The duplicate-data-source module in the tabdoc API fails to confine a supplied pathname to its intended directory, allowing absolute path resolution. A low-privileged account and high-complexity conditions are required; Salesforce has not disclosed which files or server resources can be read, changed, or interrupted.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
