Production database access via user-controlled authorization key
Published Jul 25, 2025 · Updated Jul 25, 2025
Authorization bypass in Salesforce Tableau Server allows attackers to access production databases through the tab-doc API. The tab-doc API modules trust a user-controlled key when making an authorization decision, but Salesforce has not identified the endpoint, key, or failed validation. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network, user interaction, and a release before 2023.3.19, 2024.2.12, or 2025.1.3.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
