Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped type parameter
Published Jul 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in CRM and Lead Management by vcita 2.7.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the type parameter. Widget-rendering code in vcita-widgets-functions.php accepts the type value without sufficient sanitization and emits it into page output without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored payload executes in the browser of any user who opens the affected page, enabling script actions in that user's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
