Authenticated script execution via unsanitized ping input
Published Jul 9, 2025 · Updated Jul 9, 2025
Cross-site scripting in FiberHome FD602GW-DX-R410 firmware 2.2.14 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript via the ping form. The ping diagnostic page returns the target IP field without neutralizing special characters, so an injected SVG onload handler executes in the router administration origin. An authenticated session, or an authenticated administrator induced to submit a crafted request, is required; resulting script execution can steal session cookies or change router settings.
