Session hijacking via unsanitized project fields
Published Sep 15, 2025 · Updated Sep 15, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Explorance Blue 8.1.2 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a logged-in user's browser. The project and survey interfaces return unsanitized Group Name, Project Description, Details, and Option values as reflected or stored page content. A victim must view the affected content; the script runs in that user's session and can redirect the browser, alter displayed content, or capture entered credentials.
