CVE-2025-5233Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped hex block attribute

Published Jun 13, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored XSS in the Color Palette WordPress plugin 4.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via hex. The server-side block renderer in source/blocks/color/register.php places the hex block attribute into page markup without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the stored script runs whenever a user views the injected page, enabling actions in that visitor's browser context.
