Physical balance disclosure via recent-apps lock bypass
Published Jul 1, 2025 · Updated Jul 1, 2025
Improper authentication in Trust Wallet 8.45 for Android allows physically proximate attackers to view wallet balances without a PIN. The Android recent-apps resume path inconsistently reapplies the in-app PIN gate, and repeated reopening eventually presents wallet data without authentication. Physical possession and access to Android's recent-apps view are required; the disclosure reports balance viewing, not transaction authorization.
