Limited code execution via crafted object chain
Published Aug 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025
Deserialization in OperaMasks SDK ELite Script Engine 0.5.0 allows remote attackers to invoke arbitrary methods through crafted objects. A crafted Hashtable reaches ThisObject.equals during ObjectInputStream.readObject, then resolves an attacker-chosen class method through ELite closures. A server must include ELite and expose a deserialization interface; the published chain can invoke methods remotely, but it does not control their parameters.
