Administrator access via hardcoded default credentials
Published Sep 19, 2025 · Updated Sep 19, 2025
Use of hardcoded credentials in PPress 0.0.9 allows remote attackers to obtain administrator access through the web interface. The default installation provisions the administrator account as admin with the static password 123456, and the project documentation publishes both values. Remote attackers need only reach a deployment that retains the default account to enter the administrative backend and exercise its content-management privileges.
