Authenticated code execution via unsafe Twig call filter
Published Aug 27, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Server-side template injection in Solspace Freeform 5.0.0 through 5.10.15 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. Freeform renders an editor-controlled submission title as Twig and exposes a call filter that passes its operand and arguments to PHP call_user_func without an allowlist. Access to edit a form is required; submitting the embedded form evaluates the title, allowing operating-system commands to run under the Craft CMS process.
