Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized nickname
Published May 26, 2025 · Updated May 27, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Client Database Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read and modify database data. The superadmin_update_profile.php handler inserts the nickname parameter directly into an SQL query without sanitization or parameter binding. A valid high-privilege session reaches the endpoint, and the published error-based payload extracts the database name while arbitrary query changes can alter stored records.
