Authenticated SQL execution via unescaped site description
Published May 26, 2025 · Updated May 27, 2025
SQL injection in Pixelimity 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL through the installation form's site_description field. The installer substitutes the POST-controlled value directly into an INSERT statement in db.sql without escaping, then executes the altered SQL during setup. Access to the high-privilege installation workflow is required, and successful injection can read or modify database data or create files permitted by MySQL.
