Unauthenticated command execution via firmware upload filename
Published Sep 15, 2025 · Updated Sep 15, 2025
Command injection in TOTOLINK X6000R 9.4.0cu.1360_B20241207 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via HTTP requests. The UploadFirmwareFile handler in sub_417D74 passes the untrusted file_name value through firmware_check to do_system without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No authentication or user interaction is required, and injected commands execute on the router with the privileges of its web service.
