Browser script execution via unsanitized site titles
Published Aug 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Stored XSS in NotesCMS at /index.php?route=sites allows remote attackers to execute scripts through crafted site titles. The sites.php Add_Action and Edit_Action paths store POST title and description values without stripping HTML tags before persistence. The payload executes when a user views the stored entry, allowing browser-context access to data and actions available to that user's session.
