Browser script execution via unsanitized project comments
Published Dec 15, 2025 · Updated Dec 15, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in MicroStudio 24.01.29 allows remote attackers to inject script or HTML through project comments. The add_project_comment function accepts the text parameter without neutralizing active HTML before the comment is rendered on a project page. Execution requires another user to view the stored comment, enabling attacker-controlled browser content with disclosure or page modification bounded to the web context.
