Stored XSS via unescaped marker content
Published Jun 27, 2025 · Updated Jul 1, 2025
Stored XSS in WP Map Block before 2.0.3 allows remote authenticated users with Contributor access to inject scripts through markers. The Map Marker Content field stores block-option input without validation or sanitization and renders it without output escaping. The script executes when another user previews the post and clicks the crafted marker, running attacker-controlled JavaScript in that viewer's browser context.
