Unauthorized LLM use via exposed story identifiers
Published Jul 22, 2025 · Updated Jul 23, 2025
IDOR in Deepfiction AI through June 3, 2025 allows remote authenticated users to consume other users' credits in LLM chats. The create-story-part API relies solely on treatment_id and user_id for access control, while the public story browser exposes the corresponding id and author_id values. A valid account is required; the documented exploit consumes a victim's chat credits without altering data or interrupting service.
