Conversation tampering via client-supplied profile identifiers
Published Jul 22, 2025 · Updated Jul 22, 2025
IDOR in the TelegAI chat component through 2025-05-26 allows remote attackers to alter other users' conversations via its API. The chat API authorizes requests primarily by a client-supplied profile_id exposed in shared conversations, so changing that value directs writes to a victim's chat. An attacker must obtain a victim's profile_id, and the chained stored-XSS outcome requires the victim to render injected content; reported consequences include phishing, spoofing, and account hijacking.
