Program-flow disruption via synthesized instruction failure
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026
Control-flow failure in the OR1200 processor at commit 83ac6b allows context-dependent attackers to disrupt execution via a crafted instruction. In the synthesized netlist, instruction 0x95bf022d fails to execute and leaves the execution-stage instruction and program-counter signals undefined despite correct RTL behavior. Triggering requires that exact instruction to reach an affected synthesized core; published research demonstrates undefined program flow but establishes neither privilege escalation nor data exposure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
