Data disclosure and disruption via role-code SQL injection
Published Aug 27, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
SQL injection in simple-admin-core 1.2.0 through 1.6.7 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data via a crafted role code. The /sys-api/role/update handler inserts the attacker-controlled code value directly into SQL operating on casbin_rules; the 20-character limit still permits short or second-order payloads. The published request includes bearer authentication, although CISA rates privileges as none; successful injection can leak selected data, alter authorization rules, or exhaust database threads.
