Authenticated file read via filename path traversal
Published May 25, 2025 · Updated May 28, 2025
Path traversal in H3C SecCenter SMP through 20250513 allows remote authenticated users to read files via a crafted filename. The downloadSoftware function at /cfgFile/downloadSoftware accepts a filename without restricting traversal outside the intended directory. Access requires an authenticated remote request, and the disclosed consequence is limited to reading files accessible to the service.
