Remote code execution via upload-and-rename bypass
Published Dec 23, 2025 · Updated Dec 23, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Cadmium CMS 0.4.9 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code through the administrative file manager. The upload endpoint accepts an image containing malicious code, and the file manager permits its filename to be changed to a PHP extension under the web-accessible uploads directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation places attacker-controlled PHP in the web root for execution.
