Arbitrary JavaScript execution via unsanitized id parameter
Published Aug 1, 2025 · Updated Aug 1, 2025
Reflected XSS in Microweber CMS 2.0.0 through 2.0.19 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted URL. The live_edit.module_settings endpoint reflects the id parameter into its HTML response without sanitizing or escaping it. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit the attacker-supplied URL, after which script runs in that administrator's browser context.
