CVE-2025-51387Public exploit

Local permission inheritance via enabled Electron fuses

Published Aug 4, 2025 · Updated Aug 5, 2025

Code injection in GitKraken Desktop 10.8.0 and 11.1.0 allows local users to run the application as a Node.js process through enabled Electron fuses. RunAsNode remains enabled and EnableNodeCliInspectArguments remains available, causing environment variables and command-line arguments to reach the packaged Node.js runtime. Exploitation requires existing command execution on the host; Electron disputes the remote-code-execution characterization but confirms that injected code inherits application permissions.
